The Barn: A private canvas for botanical processing and curation. The Inheritance
Where Rare Flora and Intentional Gardening Take Root
Iola Gardens Society SPC is an active exploration of land cultivation, dedicated to working in harmony with Vashon Island’s distinct maritime microclimate. Nestled on five acres of rich, protected agricultural soil, our estate serves as a living canvas for unique gardening practices, curated botanical archives, and the trial of rare flora that thrive within our specific island canopy.
To protect the delicate, slow-paced rhythm of this cultivated landscape, access is governed entirely by a singular, restricted circle of forty patrons and our registered Seedling members. Here, exclusivity isn't about isolation—it is about deep stewardship, hands-on connection, and gathering under a shared canopy where community and unique botany truly grow together.
The Society Register
Iola Gardens thrives on a steady rhythm of shared connection, land stewardship, and botanical curiosity. While our 40 premium Founding Patron spots are strictly capped and vetted to protect the sovereign quiet of the landscape, you can drop anchor and join our circle today by registering for our complimentary Seedling Membership.
As a registered Seedling Member, you receive access to our fine-tuned digital dispatches, community market announcements, scheduled member-only garden walks, and prioritized invitation priority for our limited-capacity seasonal gatherings, which remain restricted entirely to our registered society network.

Yes, we love our furry community members. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are permitted to explore the outdoor garden areas with you.If you are asked by another member or staff to remove a disruptive animal please do so peacefully and respectfully. We all deserve to enjoy the space.
As an FYI the KIRO station across the way has allowed animals off leash for a long time, should you need to run your dog. -
We ask that your companion helps us maintain a peaceful environment. Dogs must be quiet, non-disruptive to other working members, and completely picked up after (please pack out all waste). If a pet is unable to settle into the quiet rhythm of the grounds, we will kindly ask that they rest at home for future visits.
