The Story: A Legacy in Motion
Vashon, when we come together, we change lives. In 2025, your generosity at the Winter Market provided a scholarship for Haley Hopper, who is now studying Psychology and Art to become a children's therapist.
The standard was set. This fund must endure.
Just this week, we prepared our donation for the Vashon Island Pride Alliance (VIPA). We planned to gift the money raised from our Winter Makers Market, but the universe had other ideas. The day before we delivered the check, our first online donation rolled in for $10.
We handed over a check + $10, and it was a sign: the fire is lit!
On May 21st, that fund will change the life of our 2026 recipient, River Powers.
Now, We Replenish the Fire for 2027.
On May 23rd, the Spring Weave is officially the launch of the 2027 VIPA Scholarship Fund. We are gathering to ensure that the chain of support for our queer youth never breaks.
We aim to turn that initial $10 momentum into a $1,000+ impact. We need your energy and support to make it happen.

Pride Pass (General Admission) — $40
Includes: 2 Bingo Cards.
Scholarship Supporter — $75
Includes: 4 Bingo Cards + a live public "Thank You" shout-out during the performance from Sativa.
Additional Bingo Cards — $10

🤝 Call to Local Business: Partnership & Discounts
Support our mission! We are seeking local businesses to partner with us through product donations, sponsorships, or "Scholarship Discounts" (20%+) on food and beverages. Help us lower our operational costs so that every dollar goes back to the fund. All partnering businesses will be recognized and celebrated in our marketing and during the event performances.
Donation Disclaimer:
While we are a celebratory event, 10% of gross proceeds go directly back to VIPA. Additionally, 100% of any direct donations made at the event (like the spontaneous $10) are funneled directly to the Vashon Community Scholarship Foundation (VCSF) to replenish the fund for 2027. Let’s light that fire!
